SORB®XT APPLICATION
The German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety differentiates between three different categories/types.
Type I
SORB®XT is hydrophobic; therefore, the material remains on the surface of the water where it can be siphoned off. Due to the hydrophobic nature the problem is not moved to the bottom of the water but stays on the surface.
Type II
Contaminated soil can be purified. To do so organic fertilizers must be added and the soil has to be tilled regularly. This process heavily depends on the temperatures outside and takes several weeks or months.
Type III R
The very fast absorption is a guarantor for safety at the workspace or in traffic. After using SORB®XT, the surface achieves a tested grip of 97%.
Type SF
For use on firm ground and on water.
The special formats are 100% filled with the natural fiber SORB®XT. SORB®XT pipes and pillows can be used as a barrier and as a receiving medium.
SORB®XT target groups
As an organic binding agent, SORB®XT is the best possible addition to safety concepts in industry, trade and logistics. Wherever necessary measures are needed to optimally guarantee health safety in the workplace, SORB®XT is the sensible solution for protection in all situations where dangerous substances escape.
